Ozone water generation principle

What is ozone water?

People call water containing ozone ozone water. Ozone water has strong oxidizing properties and is a broad-spectrum disinfectant that can kill bacteria and viruses on the surface of objects, remove residual pesticides from fruits and vegetables, and has no secondary pollution.

Ozone is unstable in water and undergoes a reduction reaction at all times, producing a very active and strongly oxidizing unit oxygen (o). At the moment of production, it decomposes the organic matter of bacteria and microorganisms in the water.

O₃→O₂+(O) (O)+H₂O→2HO

The "half life" of ozone in water is 20 minutes (41 minutes at pH 7.6). Ozone has a strong sterilization effect on various pathogenic microorganisms. Ozone is unstable in water and undergoes strong oxidation-reduction reactions, resulting in the production of highly active and oxidizing unit oxygen (o) and radical (oh). A light base oxidation-reduction potential of 2.8v is equivalent to the oxidation ability of fluorine.

Ozone Water Vs Hypochlorite Water

Ozone water

Ozone water is a state in which ozone (O3), which has strong oxidizing and bactericidal properties, is dissolved in water. When ozone reacts, it immediately becomes oxygen (O2), and thus ozone water returns to pure water. By using a new production method called direct electrolysis, high concentrations of ozone water ranging from 5mg/L to 10mg/L can be produced instantly from tap water or purified water.

Due to the fact that the direct electrolysis method does not require the production of ozone gas, it is safer and easier to operate than the method of dissolving ozone gas, and has been widely used.

Hypochloric water

Improper pH control during the application process can affect the physical health of operators. In addition, under different pH conditions, chlorine is present, which is very harmful to the body.

Characteristics of ozone water

It can sterilize and disinfect various bacteria, yeast, molds, viruses, etc., and is effective against new influenza and norovirus.

Due to its immediate return of oxygen, it is non persistent and does not produce harmful by-products.

Although people are concerned that chlorine based disinfectants may develop drug-resistant bacteria, ozone water can damage the bacterial cell membrane and will not produce drug-resistant bacteria.

Will not cause rough hands.

It has a comprehensive effect of sterilization and deodorization in various fields such as food, plant pathogen sterilization, and promoting plant growth.

Ozone has been approved as a food additive.

Direct spraying of hypochlorite water into the respiratory tract can cause injury

After inhaling atomized hypochlorite water into the respiratory tract, it can stimulate the epithelial cells of the respiratory tract to produce an inflammatory reaction, increase oxidative pressure, and cause a series of inflammatory reactions! Severe cases can lead to acute inflammation of the respiratory tract, acute lung injury, triggering asthma attacks, and possibly leading to the development of allergic pneumonia, which may increase the damage caused by acute lung injury, pneumonia, and asthma.

Use C for CT value= concentration(mg/L) Represented by the product of T= contact time (min). That is to say, to inactivate bacteria, high concentrations of ozone and other substances can be achieved quickly, while low concentrations require a long time.
